✨ Bar Services at Haue Valley ✨
We’re excited to share that Haue Valley provides in-house bar services for our couples under the business name Bar 1891.
We’ve worked very hard to answer many of your potential questions here, but if you have a question please don’t stress - just ask!
✨ A Few Other Things You Need to Know ✨
If you order linens from us, the linen check will need to be addressed to Bar 1891 LLC, not Haue Valley. The bar team will be handling linen orders.
Because there will be an on onsite liquor license, the State of Missouri forbids any and all outside alcohol. You’ll still be able to have mimosas and/or beer in the suites - it will simply (and must be) ordered through Bar 1891. No outside coolers will be allowed.
If you are having a Friday or Saturday wedding, and have rented the day before your wedding at Haue Valley, all alcohol must be provided through Bar 1891 on both days. In that case, if you plan to have any alcohol the night of the rehearsal it must come from Bar 1891, and you’ll simply pay a bartender fee + any drinks ordered + tax. If you want to set a budget cap for that night, just let us know.
✨ If you’re a person who likes a bit more detail, or a specific example here is one ✨
Decide your pre-paid amount (example $2,000), and your max budget (example $3,500). You’ll simply send a check 60 days in advance for your chosen pre-paid amount (in this example $2,000) and you’ll provide us a credit card on file for the max budget amount (in this example $1,500 limit on the credit card.)
We’ll deduct the $750 for bartenders/insurance/license (in this example $2,000 - $750 = $1,250 minus taxes and gratuity (if you choose to prepay it) and the remainder will go toward drinks ordered the day of your wedding.)
You’ll decide if you want to save any of your budget to continue to pay for your drinks and your bridal parties drinks a little longer into the evening. (In this example, maybe you want to save $350 back for the bridal party of the prepaid amount so you continue to cover their drinks longer in the evening.)
Then the day of the wedding we will simply count each drink ordered toward your pre-paid amount. If/when you reach your pre-paid amount, we will automatically start a new tab using your credit card on file. This tab will close if/when your guests order enough drinks to hit your max budget. At that time, all drinks will roll over to a for-purchase bar.
Easy for you, offers your guests great options, and helps you stay on budget for the big day!

FAQs:
As we receive questions we haven’t answered here, we will add to the FAQ section over time.
What if I’m not having any alcohol at my celebration? No worries! We can still take care of you and your guests with non-alcohol soda, lemonade, tea, juices, and water. Pricing will simply be a $250 staffing fee + $5 per guest. All guests will still be served from the bar area, not to guests seated at their table.
Can I still have mimosas, seltzers and beer in the get ready rooms? Yes - and it must be purchased through/provided by in the in-house bar service. Per Missouri requirements, no outside alcohol is allowed. No hard liquor is offered prior to the ceremony.
If we want to host wine, do we also have to host craft beer and premium seltzers? No. You can choose to host just wine. We’ve simply grouped them as wine, craft beer, and premium seltzers because they are the same price per drink.
When should we reach out to the bar? The Haue Valley team will send you your Haue Valley online planning tool 4 months prior to your wedding date. That tool will help you make MANY decisions planning for the big day, and there is a tab in that tool specifically designed to help you with your bar decisions. (You’ll love it!) The Bar 1891 Team will reach out to you about 3 months prior to your wedding date to schedule your bar details meeting that will take place by phone about 75 days prior to the wedding. You don’t need to proactively reach out to the bar sooner, but if you have specific questions you are welcome to email us at team@bar1891.com at any time.
How many hours can the bar be open? The bar may be open for 5.5 hours included in the $750 setup fee. If you want to add an additional max of 30 minutes, you may do so for $200, plus the cost of any drinks ordered by you and your guests. The bar can be open and serving for a max of 6 hours
Do I have to use the in-house bar service? Yes, as always if you have any alcohol of any kind onsite, it must come from our exclusive provider. If you choose to have a completely alcohol free event, use of the bar service is not required.
