Their Beginning

Adrienne was a server at The Pint in West Lafayette while she was starting her final fall semester at Purdue University. T.C. was working in West Lafayette as an engineer for Sikorsky Helicopter. One afternoon, T.C. and his friend Chris decided to go to The Pint for a delicious craft beer after a long day of football and tailgating on campus. They sat outside on the patio overlooking East State St. and River Road, which gave them the perfect view of the constant bustle of people moving throughout the campus. When Adrienne and T.C. first said hello, there was an instant spark. They both imedietly hit it off. They discussed their love for craft beer, breakfast club, family shenanigans, Purdue traditions and traveling. With Chris and T.C. being one of Adrienne's few tables that afternoon, this provided the perfect opportunity to get to know one another.

After a few beers and hours of conversation, it was time for T.C. and Chris to be on their way. By the end of the night, Adrienne was unsure if T.C. was going to ask her for her number. She remembers going back into the dish room portion of The Pint and thinking to herself "I really hopes he asks me for my number!" She tried to play it as cool as she could as she went to drop off the check to the table. Right as Adrienne was about to grab the last check from their table, T.C. asked Adrienne if she would be interested in getting together sometime to try some great bourbon beers he had at his house. When she said yes, he asked for her number, and the rest was history!

The Proposal

T.C. popped the question on Adrienne's favorite hiking trail, the Manistee River Loop in Mesick, Michigan. It was a chilly April day as T.C. and Adrienne began their seven mile hike. The Manistee River Loop is an 8.8 mile trail filled with rolling hills, waterfalls, breath-taking overlooks, and beautiful lush scenary. As the two began their hike, they discussed life, took pictures, and enjoyed the views. After a few hours, the couple decided it was time for lunch and searched out for the perfect spot. What Adrienne didn't know at this time was that T.C. was looking for the perfect spot to propose.

T.C. finally found a spot off the beaten path that took the two right down to the rivers edge. They sat down on the edge and soaked in the beautiful views while enjoying their picnic. The ground had been damp from the rainfall from the past couple days, so Adrienne stood up to wipe off some of the mud. As she stood up, T.C. spun her around to face him as he went down on one knee and asked the question. Adrienne happily said yes. The two talked about their future on their entire two hour hike back.
