A Snowy Wonderland Captures a St. Louis Wedding at Haue Valley

Their beginning

Jaynie and Dan both went to high school together. Dan was a year older than Jaynie, however, Jaynie had no idea who Dan was. Dan always wanted to talk to Jaynie, but he didn't know how to approach her. One day, to Jaynie's surprise, she got a letter in her locker that was filled with all sorts of sentimental things. Little did she know, it was Dan. He continued to leave notes and song lyrics in her locker for close to a month until he finally asked her out on a date. After their first date, they both became inseparable.

Of course, Jaynie still has all the letters from Dan to this day.

The Proposal

Because Jaynie is such a great mother, Dan wanted to propose to her on Mother’s Day. It would be a day that she would least expect it, and Dan knew he wanted to catch Jaynie completely by surprise whenever he was ready to pop the question.

The morning of Mother’s Day, Dan let Jaynie sleep in, which was rare for this mom of three. When she had woke up, Dan had breakfast and coffee ready for her. Looking back, she remembers him acting a little frazzled, but she put it off as him getting everything ready for their hike they had planned for that day at Elephant Rock. When Jaynie was about to take a bite of her breakfast, she heard her oldest gasp. Thinking something happened, she quickly dropped her food and turned around. Dan was down on one knee. He immediately said “See! I told you I would ask you when you least expected it!” Jaynie couldn’t help but laugh as she said yes.

The Wedding Details

Even though the snow on this March day was a complete surprise, there is no doubt that Jaynie and Dan's wedding was as stunning as ever. Hair and make up by Eye.Do STL were beautifully complemented by Jaynie's dress from The Bridal Shoppe. Dinner was served by Pappy's Smokehouse. A photo booth and DJ provided by Applause Productions were enjoyed throughout the night. Dan and Jaynie's special day was captured through shots by Jessica D.
